Rafting in the Gorges du Verdon

The Gorges du Verdon are often described as an extraordinary place… And why not discover them in complete safety aboard a raft?

Rafting is an inflatable boat that can accommodate up to 8 people plus an experienced guide. The boat is very stable and allows you to descend the rapids in complete safety. A guide from the Aqua Verdon team is always present at the back of the boat to accompany you and ensure your safety, but he needs his
crew to give speed to the rafting, it’s teamwork !

Thanks to the rafting, you can enjoy the magnificent landscapes offered by the Gorges du Verdon from the river.
On the emerald green river, you can admire the beauty of the landscape shaped by time, the Verdon being the largest canyon in Europe! You might even be lucky enough to watch the vultures soar above the Grand Canyon!

Refreshing, fun and a family activity that will delight both beginners and experienced people.

Accessible to everyone from 7 years old. Several routes are possible depending on your desires, your abilities and the water levels.

Several trips are offered: 1h30, 2h30, 3h30!

Discovery: 8km – 1h30* – 45€/pers

From Castellane to Chasteuil, the ideal trip for a first experience. A magnificent start at the foot of the Roc in Castellane, to finish on the essential rapid of Porte St Jean.

Descent: 14km – 2h30* – 55€/pers

From Castellane to Pont de Soleils, the great classic trip! Same start as the discovery with one hour more to discover new rapids and breathtaking landscapes.

Integral: 20km – 3h30* – 70€/pers

From Castellane to Point Sublime, thats where we find the rapids that move the most.
The most picturesque of the trips since it allows you to discover the first kilometers of the Grand Canyon du Verdon.
Once at the point of arrival, at the belvedere of the Samson corridor, you have to carry the raft for 10 minutes by taking the stairs. It is therefore necessary to have some good “guys” in the crew.

Haut Verdon: Half day – 55€/pers

In spring, when the water level allows it, we also navigate on the Haut Verdon. After 1 hour of transport from Castellane, we arrive in the wonderful alpine scenery of the Haut Verdon.

– Have no medical contraindication
– Be at least 7 years old

You need to bring

– Closed shoes
– Swimsuit

CANOË-KAYAK

Canoë-Kayak in the Gorges du Verdon

For a sporty discovery of the Verdon, you can choose canoeing or kayaking.

You are autonomous in an inflatable boat, either in a single-seater kayak or a two-seater canoe, which are perfectly adapted to the routes of the Gorges du Verdon.

The practice of canoeing in the Verdon is a sporting activity requiring a good physical condition of the participants. More spectacular and technical than the rafting, it is also more challenging while remaining a very friendly moment to share between thrill seekers.

Closer to the water and more playful, in this type of boat you will have better sensations in direct contact with water movements and rapids.

Canoe kayaking is practiced in the Verdon with a departure in Castellane and on the surrounding rivers.

After the equipment and a complete briefing you will be ready to face the river. Up to you !

CANYONING

Come and jump in the waters around the Verdon : Jabron, St Auban …
Program : Swimming, abseiling, jumps, toboggans, zipline, rand explanations about environment, all in a fun atmosphere !

Accessible to all, all levels. From 8 years old.

From the small family path to the full day path, everybody will go home with their head full of souvenirs !

RANDO-AQUA

Randonnée Aquatique in the Gorges du Verdon

The randonnée aquatique, floating or even aqua trekking is undoubtedly the best way to discover the exceptional setting of the Grand Canyon du Verdon.

Imagine yourself on a half-day or full-day expedition to one of the most remote and deepest places in the Grand Canyon du Verdon.

Equipped with a neoprene wetsuit, a helmet and a life jacket, you are your own boat and swim and float along the sandstone rapids.

The course is punctuated by several jumps – not mandatory

You will enjoy throughout your journey a unique panorama of the river, the vertiginous cliffs and this environment so preserved.

Couloir Samson: 1/2 day – 2 hours of activity in the water – 50€/pers

One of the most beautiful and accessible to all!
Come and discover the first narrow of the Grand Canyon du Verdon with at least 300 meters of cliff above you!

Pont de Tusset: 1/2 day – 2 hours of activity in the water – 40€/pers

The perfect trip for beginners in water hiking. Accessible rapids and jumps, ideal for a first experience.

L’Imbut: 1 day – 4 hours of activity in the water – 80€/pers

One of the most sporty and beautiful activities in the Verdon. Located in the heart of the canyon, you will take the most beautiful passages of the Verdon river: the Estellié, the Styx, Maugué and the Imbut.

You will have many rapids to cross over the day and very nice jumps, it never stops! The route ends with a visit to the Imbut, surely the most mysterious site in the Verdon.

The service includes standard equipment, guide, insurance and transport.

**The minimum age is given as an indication and depends on the weather conditions, the amount of water and the swimming level of the children. Do not hesitate to contact us.

CLIMBING

If you wish to try something different you can now taste vertical sensations on the limestone cliffs near Castellane.

Séance de Canoé-kayak de plus de 2h en eau vive dans le Verdon ! Moniteur pédagogue avant et pendant la séance et laisse beaucoup de libertés pendant la séance ! Casque et combi fournis ; "Bateau" très confortable et maniable, monoplace ou biplace au choix, rien à redire ! 😀

Très belle expérience. Greg est très pédagogue et il prend en compte les craintes de chacun. Que vous soyez téméraire ou plutôt craintif l'expérience vaut le détour ! Le canyoning se fait par petit groupe se qui est d'autant plus agréable pour échanger avec les autres et refaire certains passages du canyon. N'hésitez pas à vous lancer !
